PixPair’s Voyage Dallas Magazine Feature
What was PixPair selected for an interview
The Voyage Dallas Magazine relies heavily on referrals to find local, small businesses in Texas. Once they interview these businesses, they highlight them in their “Hidden Gems” section. That said, a good friend from Baylor University recommended the Voyage Dallas Magazine interview me for my business, PixPair.
They reached out with a series of questions that involved everything from the background of the business, my biggest challenges and what we offer today.
I outlined PixPair’s current offering in the article and used the Voyage Dallas article publishing date as motivation to redesign PixPair’s entire website, brand and client experience.
I redesigned the experience both photographers and clients have on PixPair prior to the magazine publishing. Since PixPair’s initial launch in January 2020, I realized a number of pain-points in the site experience that I’ve been wanting to fix.
PixPair’s new website now allows photographers to sign up and build their own profile on our site. Clients can browse by location, using a map feature or in-depth search tool, and book photographers through one of three fixed pricing packages.
The fixed pricing packages allow clients to find and book a photographer solely based on their location and photography style. This pricing model also benefits photographers in preventing a “race to the bottom” that most freelance marketplaces inevitably foster.
Our Search for Photographers
You can check-out PixPair’s new website here. We are also currently looking for photographers to join our site. If you know any photographers who may be interested, please pass this message along or have them reach out to me at email@example.com
Hope everyone is doing well in quarantine!
