A Simple Mother’s Day Treat – Lemon Mint Water Recipe
The Lemon Mint Water Recipe was the perfect amount of refreshing flavor for a hot summers’ day in Texas. The recipe pairs energizing aromas of mint and cool lemon flavors to create an infused water that will keep you hydrated during those hot summer days. It was an absolute hit with our family and friends. The lemon mint water recipe is fairly simple and only requires three key ingredients (yes! that’s it):
- 1 cup mint leaves
- 1 large lemon
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
It is that easy. First, we started by assembling the [few] ingredients and washing each.
We then began the preparation, which involves cutting 1 lemon into halves and placing the seedless pieces into the filter.
Now, for the mint!
We placed each item in the filter, filling it to the brim. As for the cucumber, we only used half but this is as desired and up to your discretion and personal taste preferences.
After placing each ingredient in the filter above, we filled the water jug and let the ingredients soak into the water for at least 2 hours before guests arrived. This allowed for the flavors to kick in and give just the right amount of refreshing taste.
I hope you enjoy this refreshingly simple lemon mint water recipe as much as we did! Feel free to get creative and replace the lemon with limes, strawberries, and other flavored fruits.
