Investing in Yourself – A Bucketlist Bombshells Review
I’ve always been a huge advocate for continuing education and investing in yourself. Picking up new hobbies or investing in courses are two ways to put this into practice. I can’t think of a better time to invest in yourself and learn a new skill than now, while we quarantine for the next few weeks.
In 2017, I invested in courses from a business called the Bucketlist Bombshells and want to share my experience with you. Before I dive into my Bucketlist Bombshells review, I want to explain who they are, what they offer and why they’re different.
Who are the Bucketlist Bombshells?
Two years ago, I stumbled upon an article about two entrepreneurial women paving the way for others to work remotely and travel the world. These two women are Cassie Torrecillas and Shay Brown, founders of the Bucketlist Bombshells.
The Bucketlist Bombshells is a website with courses dedicated to helping millennial women learn the skills to create their own online business so they can work remotely.
The idea of remote work, traveling the world and becoming a “Digital Nomad” was something so foreign to those in Corporate America. However, after coming across the Bucketlist Bombshells, those barriers and walls came crashing down. Working remotely for myself and starting my own online business seemed more tangible than ever and I couldn’t wait to dive in.
What do they offer?
The Bucketlist Bombshell’s key offering is their three main courses:
Each course is a separate investment but the three compliment each other in many ways. You can use your graphic design skills acquired from one course to compliment your digital marketing skills learned in another course.
When you invest in a Bucketlist Bombshells course, you invest in yourself and your online business for life. Once you start the course, you are invited to join their online community of nearly 40,000 women and have immediate access to many resources. Their course materials are updated frequently and offer:
- In-depth video tutorials on design and marketing tools
- Interactive documents and exercises you can practice on your own
- Downloadable content so you can work offline
- And much more
In addition to the course materials, the Bucketlist Bombshells offer masterclasses and workshops so you continuously have access to new information to improve your business and skills. You can sign up for a few now if you’d like to check them out.
Who are their courses for?
If you are interested in learning graphic design, becoming a virtual assistant, or interested in building a remote business, these courses are for you. Anyone can take their courses and I’ve never felt more included in a community like the Bucketlist Bombshells Tribe.
Why are they different?
With so many online course options and resources out there, it can be hard to choose just one. One of the most unique factors about the Bucketlist Bombshells and their founders is their presence and audience interaction. The founders, Cassie and Shay, are so involved in their community and very present. They frequently host virtual meet-ups, live sessions on Facebook and Instagram, local meet-ups and are so responsive and attentive to their community needs.
When you invest in a course, you want to be sure you’re investing in something that will stay up-to-date on current trends and know that the designers of the course poured their heart and soul into it. I have no doubt that they did just that, and that’s why I think their offering is so unique and worth the investment.
Bucketlist Bombshells Review – The Tech Skills Course
To be honest, I put off the Tech Skills Course for a long time because I thought, “I’m a digital marketer. I practiced digital marketing for five years at a large corporate firm. I know this already.”
That thought was quickly put to rest the moment I started the course. What I thought would be a review of things I already knew ended up teaching me new online tools and resources I never knew existed.
Social Media Management
You may think you know how to master social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest but there is so much behind these media giants that you never knew existed. Opening a business account for your own business or a Client’s business may be daunting, but the BB Tech Skills Course shows you how to optimize these business profiles. It also shares the tools used to automate social media posts and optimize engagement and conversion metrics.
Web Design & Conversion
I love web design and have built many sites over the years but this module in the BB Tech Skills Course details how you can easily build a beautiful website that converts using tools like WordPress, Beaver Builder and Weeknight Website for hosting. They simplify the steps behind starting a website or blog that easily take up so much mental space and energy figuring out. In this module, you can become a web designer overnight.
Email Marketing & Landing Pages
Surprisingly, my favorite module was the Email Marketing Campaigns and Landing Pages module. It’s surprising because I did this daily for nearly five years at the financial firm I worked for, but I never had this much fun building them.
The course walks you through the tools they use to create and manage email marketing campaigns and design beautiful landing pages. Although I already used many of the tools in this module, I still learned something new like how to automate and optimize designs and campaigns for conversion.
Building Portfolios & Finding Clients
Towards the end of your course, after you have a working website, social accounts and marketing campaigns, you gain access to use-case scenarios you can practice your newly learned skills with and build a portfolio to showcase to clients.
Once you’ve mastered that, the last module walks you through insight, resources and platforms used to find clients so you can start making money and building up your business.
Is it worth it?
If you can’t tell already, I’m a huge advocate for the Bucketlist Bombshells courses. I completed the Tech Skills Course a few months ago and am currently working on the Design Skills Course and the Work Online + Travel The World Course.
I wholeheartedly stand by these courses and this incredibly close-knit community of like-minded women. I feel so connected to this community and it’s founders. The amount of dedication and hard-work Cassie & Shay pour into the Bucketlist Bombshells courses makes it worth the investment. They aren’t just creating these courses as a simple passive income strategy like a lot of other online courses do. These courses are their life and their passion. It seems as if their dream is to make our dreams a reality.
So is it worth it? The short answer is absolutely! There isn’t a better time to invest in yourself than now and there are so many courses out there. I think their Design Skills Course is great for anyone wanting to learn the basics of graphic design and the Tech Skills Course for anyone wanting to become a Virtual Assistant, learn web design or digital marketing. If you have a desire to start your own business, work remotely and travel the world, then I would suggesting going one-step further and investing in their Work Online + Travel the World Course. In each course, they walk you through the basics step-by-step and by the end of the course, you can have a successful online business up and running!
Please let me know if you have any questions or want to chat personally about these courses. I’m happy to help answer any additional inquiries you may have if you’re interested in the course itself or how I used the course to grow my blog and business, PixPair.
